11. Notifications Sprint March 19 to 29 2018

During this Sprint a new plugin was created that would allow users to receive email notifications of recently posted training events on EYPD.

Alex:

What went well:

• Communications
• Detailed descriptions of issues provided enough information to create, edit and move through to the validation process
• Estimation of time was accurate
• Completed many functions particularly during 4 day sprint time (March 26 - 29)

Challenges/Areas to Work on: Not enough time for validation to finish a Sprint week.

What went well Easy mechanism to test emails - this helped with validation

Challenges It would be helpful to have a daily check-in to reiterate the goals of the Sprint, find out what needs to be validated and what's coming up.

What worked well

The check in meeting at the end of the first week and beginning of the second week helped to clarify and prioritize the immediate needs The development of many components enable this customized plugin to work was an ambitious success.

Challenges

• It is not always clear what and how issues need to be validated. Kathreen will check in with Alex and Brad more frequently for clarification.
• Kathreen will set up and complete the process to complete the remaining validation items from this Sprint.
