Bit of a exploit. You can start the game with nearsighted/farsighted and it is removed at game start with this cbm. Also there is a bug that when you start the game those traits are not removed til you save and reload. When telescopic eyes were added they were left out of starting professions. You aren't really meant to start the game with them.
