Summary
SUMMARY: Mods "Expand blacklists for Classic Zombies mode"
Purpose of change
This is the first step in expanding the gameplay mode of Dark Days of the Dead, formerly Classic Zombies. Ironically, it happens by cutting a whole ton of stuff out. C:DDotD is inspired by classic, romero-style zombie movies, and so it shouldn't have laser guns and power armour, mutations and bionics.
While cutting these things out, I'm also incorporating already-existing blacklists from other blacklist mods that apply to mine, mainly as a second-line to make sure nothing slipped through the first phase of blacklists. I may remove the monster ones, since they should be covered by the "classic" flag whitelist, but the item blacklists help in case a map spawn slips through due to incorrect tagging.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I don't know if I needed to blacklist atomic items like coffee pots, lights, and batteries, but I would like to create a more "current world" feel, or possibly even dial back a few years. This game shouldn't feel like a parallel universe.
Eventually some of these blacklists should be migrations, I'm going for blunt tools for now so I can get it up and running.
Testing
When ready.
Additional context
Next step will probably be to create a few types of "zombie rags" outfits, and have zombies wearing those instead of gear. I may remove the FILTHY tag in the process.
