I often get 11 from the dishwasher when I ask for the operatingMode. The documentation only goes up to 9.

This is with a GE GDF570SGFWW.

I notice that when I get this, the other fields aren't sensible either. For example, reminders is 0, whereas it's normally 2 (Add Rinse Aid).

I also notice that I often get two dishwasher objects returned (see #6). Normally I ignore the second one. Maybe what's going on is that sometimes I get the "other" dishwasher first, and that one is bogus?

Specifically, when operatingMode is 11, everything except rates and doorCount reports bogus values. analogData, which normally reports somewhat random values (I'm guessing some sensors are floating), reports all zeros except the 7th byte which is 0x57. Everything else pretty much reports zero across the board.

Oh, the cycleCounts though is 0/0/34, which is weird. (Normally it's around 8/5/6 at the moment for me.)

And the UI personality is 0 but the source is A/D (1).

Ok yeah I confirmed that what's going on is that I'm getting my greenBean.connect("dishwasher", ...) callback called twice with two different dishwasher objects, one of which works correctly, and the other of which acts as described above. And it happens that sometimes they come back in a different order.

@Hixie operatingMode 11 is likely being returned by the machine control board in the system (which could be why you are getting 2 objects). It indicates a board is in "Machine Control Only" mode which is why many of the other values do not make sense.

Operating mode 11 is actually "machine control only" mode, not an invalid connection.
