Add an Acknowledgements section to the README to acknowledge organizations like the National Library of Medicine, grants, etc. that have funded ITK development over the years.

These may be useful for this purpose:
https://lhncbc.nlm.nih.gov/project/insight-toolkit
https://itk.org/ITK/project/parti.html
https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fninf.2015.00005/full#h3

This presentation, even if outdated, mentions the institutions that contributed to funding ITK or those which actively participated:
https://itk.org/Wiki/images/6/6a/Insight-Overview.ppt

Specific references to grants are not mentioned though.

The Kitware blog may contain entries with references to grants that helped finance ITK modules and/or applications.
