I'm not convinced about this either, and would be happy to find an alternate fix. This is not a new issue, but it may have been masked by other failures in |

Those (not exactly those though) indexing/slicing tests were passing back then, I was struggling with it quite a lot. The issue (on v1.10) was created in JuliaLinearAlgebra/InfiniteLinearAlgebra.jl#148 rather recently. |

I don't think this analogy is accurate enough to be useful. FFTs work on arbitrary dimensions where I think if there only existed a 1D FFT (that is, acting on vectors or matrices column-wise), it would almost certainly be a type that was |

The following works on v1.9, but not on v1.10 and above, as
AbstractQisn't anAbstractArrayanymore:This has broken some tests in
InfiniteLinearAlgebra, asLazyArraysused to use this functionality to cache values from infinite arrays. It's perhaps best to add this back for backward compatibility. The operation still makes sense, asAbstractQhas aneltypeandsize, despite not being anAbstractArray.
