To validate both BRAT and RCAT vegetation inputs, it would be helpful to have a Survey 123 app (similar to #35 BRAT cIS) for recording this information in field.

As @wally-mac wrote in #29,

One specific form of data capture that @joewheaton and I discussed was calibration of land fire existing veg data. So the idea here is we could take a sample of say 30 of each of the say approximately 30 land cover classes (n= 900) within our hundred meter buffer and do an assessment in regards to how the zero to four categories appear in the field versus how the landfire classification categorized these buffered stream segments. We could design the sample were we could collect many of these categories within a short distance to optimize the data collection.

In due course (not immediate), @wally-mac we should provide elaboration of exactly what you want here by:

  1. Providing a paper form version of what we want (decide if we need an Advanced and Basic, or if just basic will suffice.)
  2. Assigning this to someone to develop (could be easy for @webernick79, but might be a good one for @banderson1618 to learn how to do with some help from @webernick79.
  3. Lets figure out when to do this by (what project, what milestones).

Sounds good...Happy to offer advice on getting others up to speed with the ESRI tools like Survey123, but my guess is it won't take much and everybody will be up and running with this stuff soon.

@banderson1618 can you please take the lead on this? Please reach out to @joewheaton and I for more of the background and @webernick79 for technical support.

@wally-mac lets you and I make the paper form first together, and then assign it to @banderson1618 and find a milestone that makes sense. This is not a rush.

I have assigned this task to @chadFHC. Chad once you get up to speed on building the Survey 123 forms let's have you work on generating this one. Thanks!

Sounds good.

Never done. Will be superseded by Field Collector and QRiS.
