Description

We are turning music into a socially friendly platform.

Wouldn't you want to see what to see every single one of your friend's favorite songs or even genres are for this week? Or be able to see what songs all your friend are listening to in real-time without having to be the Spotify Desktop? Even be able to comment and chat with your friends about new music?

Yes, we can do this, but all of these things are done on separate applications outside of Spotify. If you want to share music you use Instagram Stories. If you want to see what your friends are listening to you have to use the Desktop platform of Spotify. If you want to chat about music you're texting your friends or Tweeting it.

By using Spotify's open API we will be able to collect this data and transform it into a web application using Next (a React framework) and TypeScript. We will deploy via Vercel (which is very tightly integrated with Next).

We want to allow users to easily interact and share their favorite music all in one space. In a socially focused web application. A place to allow all these interactions in a visually friendly and highly interactive space. This web application will allow for these types of interactions to be able to happen while also visualizing data such as your top songs or favorite artist all in a single place.
