Thanks for your pull request! This change has been proposed at least once before in pull request #255. As explained there, the presence of .netrwhist in the vundle directory is an undesired side effect of bug #244 . When we solve that issue, the need to add these files to .gitignore will go away, and that's the approach we'd rather take.

As suggested in #255, in the meantime, please take a look at :he g:netrw_home as a temporary workaround.
