OPL3 Bank Editor has two variants: with emulator usage and with usage of real OPL3 chip.
With emulator usage
- Operating system
- Linux Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, CentOS, OpenSUSE
- Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10
- macOS 10.9 or higher
- We are recommending a CPU with ~2 Ghz or higher for a stable playback of emulated sound
- 256 MB RAM
- Sound card
With usage of real OPL3 chip
- Operating system
- Windows 98 / ME
- 133 Mhz CPU
- 64 MB RAM
- The SoundBlaster 16, AdLib GOLD or any other sound card with OPL3 chip is required (With OPL2-based sound cards playback will work incorrectly), or, for exapmple, some C-Media sound cards models (To enable support of FM synthesis you need to install a DOS driver with a resident utility).
