The game works fine with D9VK 0.40.1 for me.

On current DXVK version, after successful injection, the game works, Vulkan is identified in MSI Afterburner OSD, but after clicking once or twice on black title screen (we can hear sound), the game only shows sky and cursor in the main menu, and everything else is black.

DXVK's d3d9.dll copied to the src\system folder. Copying also the rest of libraries causes the game not to start.
Leaving only some .dlls I somehow managed to generate more of the logs.

Older D9VK somehow improves the game performance when performance drops occur. I hope it may get even better with newer DXVK version.

• Driver: 20.10.1 and 21.5.1 (outdated, but the issue is reproducible on other configurations)

• DXVK version: 1.8.1 / 1.9.1 / 1.9.2

Couldn't find anything useful about that Oxc0000005 error connected with apitrace in Google. I used some older version of apitrace. @K0bin I cannot customize labels, so please delete "needs apitrace" if the provided apitrace is fine.

Tested on the newest DXVK 1.9.1 and newer GPU driver, and the issue is still there.

Tested on the newest DXVK 1.9.3 and it started to work.

It heavily stutters on the beginnings of the missions, which is fixed by:

The other problem, is that the game cannot be restored from being minimized,
while in D9VK it couldn't be minimized at all - while alt tabbing, none of window could appear (only blue ALT+CTRL+DEL window, but not even a process manager).
Now using DXVK, after you press alt+tab you are forced to restart the game.

It's still the same. Sorry for late response.

If I try to maximise/alt+tab back, nothing happens, and suddenly I cannot move my cursor in the area of start menu (so in the moment when the game supposed to be maximised [after I clicked the game button in start menu/alt+tabbed]).

First try it without anything extra just to verify its still an issue, it shouldn't do anything new out of the box besides what has been changed on master since you tested last time.
If it still happens then make a file called dxvk.conf where the dxvk log files appear (usually next to the exe but not always) insert d3d9.deviceLost = True and try again.

If you think that the issue can be driver-dependant, I can update them later.
