Currently, if there are empty buckets in between data points, the line chart renders unconnected dots

By using the "missing values" option, it's possible to interpolate between the values

Lens should provide the following options replacing the current fitting setting:

  • How do you want to interpolate?
    • Linear, zero, hide, last/next
  • How do you want to style this?
    • Dashed, straight

Keep the default for new charts to “Hide” for hiding values

A PR was merged to change the style of interpolated missing values: elastic/elastic-charts#1505
A release with that will come soon
