I clone the repo and modified config.js for my elasticsearch host as FQDN.

Then start ./sample/server.js.
But the web page show "0hits" at graph and event.
I use Firebug and saw "Error: results.hits is undefined $scope.get_data/<@http://localhost:8000/panels/table/module.js:175 Nc/e/j.promise.then/i@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:76 Nc/g/<.then/<@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:76 e.prototype.$eval@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:87 e.prototype.$digest@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:84 e.prototype.$apply@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:87 e@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:94 p@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:97 Xc/</v.onreadystatechange@http://localhost:8000/common/lib/angular.min.js:98"

Sounds like you don't have any data in elasticsearch? Can you provide more information on your use case?

Logstash + ElasticSearch (2 node). And I change dashboard/default defaultindex from NOINDEX to logstash-2013.05.28 , but 0 hits at all.
I can saw data by using kibana2.

Can your browser reach Elasticsearch? The only reason defaultindex would be used is if Kibana can not find any indices. Maybe it is unable to reach elasticsearch?

I try again after I move kibana to my elasticsearch node, but got same
result. Any way to debug?

Its not important that Kibana is on your elasticsearch node. Please post your config.js

no change unless elasticsearch: "http://esnodeip:9200"
I mean my browser can reach ES without problem, I have a page wrote by
myself just send XMLRequest to ES node directly, and the page works fine
