v1.0.0 Release!

From this point on, the major, time-impacted changes will be pushed into bulkier, but less frequent updates.

Major version numbers (i.e. x.0.0) updates will be reserved for large overhauls, such as introducing a GUI to toggle skips or some other major changes to the infrastructure.
Minor version numbers (i.e. 1.x.0) updates will include time-impacted changes, where the update alters the time of the speedrun.
Patch version numbers (i.e. 1.0.x) updates will include cosmetic changes, crash fixes, and other support options (e.g. Expert Grid, Nemesis, Penance).


Changes

  • Cutscene Remover is now a single file executable.
  • Removed Gui 1 & 2 pre-boss cutscene skips ahead of v1.0.0 due to instability.

Fixes

  • Updated Dream Zanarkand to include Tidus pushing through the crowd cutscene.
  • Moved Auron, Ammes and Flux transitions over to "EventFileStart" logic.
  • Changed Default move frame to 8 from 5 due to Tidus rarely being on the incorrect spot after load.
  • Fixed Yu Yevon Anima crash.
  • Home camera and encounter skip fixed.

Changes

  • All languages now supported.

Fixes

  • Moved Geos logic over to use event file start and pause and resume on transition.
  • Made Gui logic a bit slower and pause and resume on transition.
  • Tidus should no longer wrong warp to the below deck of S.S. Liki when talking to Wakka.
  • Should no longer crash if getting an encounter after killing Sandragora in Bikanel.
  • Post Sin Core Skip should now work again properly.

Fixes

  • Returning to Djose Highroad no longer teleports you to Djose Temple or reset story progression.
  • Returning to the Thunder Plains no longer resets the story progression.
  • Activating a Qactuar stone no longer takes you to the Thunder Plains Agency.

Changes

  • Menuing has now been disabled before Geosgaeno to prevent crashes.
  • Soft resetting with L1/R1/L2/R2/Start has now been disabled on release builds (use debug flag to enable).

Besaid

  • Fix to Brotherhood cutscene skip where Map wasn't added to the items. Now iterates through the list of items and finds the first empty slot to add to.

Mi'ihen Highroad

  • New skip added post Chocobo Eater fight. Whether you win or lose, the cutscene after the fight will be skipped.

Mushroom Rock Road

  • Attempt at fixing the skip after the Sinspawn Gui 1 fight. Hopefully does, although not 100% convinced it's consistent.
  • Formation fix after Sinspawn Gui 2. Now remembers the formation from the Gui 1 fight, and applies it after the Gui 2 fight.

Bikanel

  • Rikku machina tutorial has been readded back in

Besaid

  • Leaving Besaid and getting Brotherhood. It gets buffed, equipped, and lulu and yuna join the party

SS Winno

  • Tidus looks at the blitzball, and Jecht Zanarkand flashback. Jumps straight to Jecht Shot minigame.

Luca

  • Wakka subs himself before the blitzball game
  • Fans get impatient after you successfully get the 3:01 skip in blitzball :Kappa~4:
  • Tidus and Auron join the party before the laughing scene

Djose

  • Fix to 'Tidus wakes up Yuna' where you can pick up the chest now without the cutscene skip triggering early

Guadosalam

  • All of Seymour's house. Skips all the movement, felt this was okay since we don't miss out on any chests nor muscle memory isn't affected
  • All of Farplane, including buffing Brotherhood again

Calm Lands

  • The buggy cutscene is skipped, saving a whopping 5 seconds

Gagazet

  • Readded most of the movement in Zanarkand dream sequence
  • Removed scenes in Gagazet cave

Various bug fixes including full heal at SS Winno, party formation fix at Bikanel, other smaller things
