  • went over research plan questions and structure of interviews
  • split up usability testing and open-ended interviews
    • first pass at competitive website usability interview will be done pooling from Hack for LA community

Actions to take:

  • Alyssa and Lucy will look for EmpowerLA survey results and ideate on broader research questions
  • Melissa will work on interview protocol
  • Joanna will add more questions to open ended interview and develop script for interview
  • Aim to have survey launchable by next week

  • define website copy audience and direction
  • breakout rooms to work on research, copy, or wireframes
  • talk about research recruitment issues/blockers
    • work with Sarah to send out survey to LinkedIn network

  • defined that website copy should be friendly, simple, conversational. Should be tailored to 3rd grade level reading and short sentences.
  • reviewed mood boards and direction of color palette
  • edited survey language and recruitment language for LinkedIn post

  • send out LinkedIn post for uxr participant recruitment

NO MEETING FOR NEXT WEEK DUE TO THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

Things to Discuss:

  • go over usability testing results
  • apply content framing
  • find new meeting time for after thanksgiving
  • assign issues

Things Discussed:

  • went over powerpoint with usability testing results
    • delete announcement section on workshops
    • about page- clarity of who we are, story about how we were developed
    • A/B test with colors mobile mockups (Joanna)
    • case study
    • template for carousel
  • everyone at the meeting confirmed that meeting time (thursday @ 4pmPST) works for them
  • update mondays, wednesday and friday in slack

Actions to Take:

  • Joanna will make A/B test for UX/UI team to compare colors of mobile mockup decided to go with lighter tan with blue color palette
  • Joanna will ask Tracy about meeting time
  • Lucy will start on first draft of case study
  • Lucy will start pinging everyone for updates in slack on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Lucy will create Twitter account for Access the Data
  • Kaylena will work on template for carousel images
  • Miguel will attempt to highlight "free" in website page within mockups

  • suggested to individual properties then pages header and footer are easy to do first, CSS properties will exist
  • Bootstrap, Javascript - mobile responsive - front end dev- language of preference - translating wireframes - react, Jekyll, bootstrap, desktop and mobile version
  • forms and carousel are the hardest
  • workshop page - 311 data - ask sarah for copy
  • one liner for workshops
  • stick to persona 1

    • go over onboarding document and commitment level
    • more detailed product roadmap overview
    • show kanban board and priortized backlog filtered by "role: design" or "role: research"
    • onboarding meeting before next wednesday
  • We need to have a volunteer to help with information architecture (from the UI/UX team) to start putting the resources for 311-data workshop into a rational page flow based on the type of info. We will be rapid prototyping this into a wiki, and then relocating it to the website when its ready.
