Frame Restoration - Use Frame Search to recreate adjacent damaged frames
- Recreate several adjacent damaged or missing frames
- Drag and drop, or click to upload Frame Before Replacement Frames and Frame After Replacement Frames PNG files
- Set Frames to Restore to the exact number of needed replacement frames for accurate timing
- Frame Search Times shows the fractional search times for the recreated frames
- Set Search Precision per the desired timing accuracy
- Low is faster but can lead to repeated or poorly-timed frames
- High produces near-perfect results but takes a long time
- Frame Search Times shows a warning if Search Precision is set too low
-
Predicted Matches shows estimates for the frame times based on Frames to Restore and Search Precision
- Actual found frames may differ from predictions
- Click Restore Frames
- The Animated Preview panel will show a GIF of the original and restored frames
- The Download box gives access to
- Animated GIF
- ZIP of restored frames
- TXT report
- Provide only CLEAN frames adjacent to the damaged ones
Example: Recreating 2 Missing Frames:
- B is the last good frame before, and A is the first good frame after the missing frames
B---?---?---A
- Replacement frame X is 1/3 of the way between frames A and D
B---X-------A
- Replacement frame Y is 2/3 of the way between frames A and D
B-------Y---A
-
Frame Search divides down to precisely timed frames
- In this case, reaching precisely 1/3 and 2/3 is not possible
- Search Precision is used to trade off time for the accuracy
