I'm Josh, an evolutionary biologist 𧬠πΈ, turned research software engineer π».
I'm currently working at the The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) on the Epiverse initiative.
I recently finished my PhD on the topic of developing novel phylogenetic models to understand macroevolutionary patterns on islands β°οΈ at the University of Groningen. My PhD thesis can be found at the RUG research archive.
- π Iβm currently working on: Epiverse by day, macroevolution and island biogeography by night.
- π± Iβm currently learning: most things, but mainly epidemiology of infectious diseases.
- π― Iβm looking to collaborate on: interesting research questions at the intersection of evolutionary biology and epidemiology.
- π€ Iβm looking for help with: not sure ... but fun collaborators are always welcome π
- π¬ Ask me about: anything!
