Let's make sure the change runs on main with green CI for a couple of days first

Agree with the hold. But we eventually have to merge this PR first, even if there is a follow-up bugfix.

Test was green for main branch for two times in series.

@fabriziopandini : we should also either:

• cherry-pick (the original PR) to release-1.1
• or remove the test-case from the 1.1 tests in test-infra: https://testgrid.k8s.io/sig-cluster-lifecycle-cluster-api-1.1#capi-e2e-release-1-1-1-24-latest
  • this would mean that we drop support for kubernetes v1.25 in v1.1
  • PR for removal is open: Remove v1.24 => latest upgrade test jobs for CAPI v1.1 kubernetes/test-infra#26897
