Folks have decided in a recent sig-network thread https://groups.google.com/g/kubernetes-sig-network/c/IxPZlOPj3EA?pli=1 .
That long term, this repository will become a library, for building new proxy implementations...
This is a catch all issue to track and express that so folks coming to this repo know where it is headed. IT will take us... quite a while to figure out the logistics on how that gets done, please track the above KEP if interested in helping us on that front.
