Version: v0.2.0
Long time no see! We are excited to announce a major new version of the TianGong Database, now compatible with the latest version of the EF 3.1 reference package.
Please note that it will take a very much longer time to import to openLCA. It is normal and please wait.
Important Updates:
EF 3.1 Compatibility
We have updated our data to ensure compatibility with the Environmental Footprint scheme (EF 3.1).
EF 3.1 LCIA Methods
We have added methods to the life cycle environmental impact assessment, based on the latest methodology document from EF 3.1.
New Data Classification System
We have implemented a new data classification system in the database to prevent misunderstanding and misuse. Data are categorized, at top-level, as follows:
- Unit Process: Data concerning unit processes that include raw material inputs, product outputs, energy inputs, waste outputs, and pollutant emissions.
- Reference Parameters: Data used solely as parameters. For instance, data from the Second National Pollution Census, providing pollutant emission factors, are categorized as Reference Parameters, which includes product outputs and pollutant emission factors.

- Human toxicity, USEtox 2.1 (non-cancer, organics, inorganics);

- Climate change, Baseline model of the IPCC 2021 (fossil, biogenic, land use and change);

Issue Fixes:
- Unit Process Data:
- Corrected the unit process names from the data of the Second National Pollution Census, and added source annotations in the names.
- Fixed incorrect flows in some unit processes.
- Updated the version number and revision time in the basic information of unit processes to match the current data version number.
- Flow Data:
- Corrected the file names of flow data: removed files with the irregular naming convention containing _01.00.000, and updated the uri references in all files to match the corrected flow files.
- Corrected the file names of flow properties: removed files with the irregular naming convention containing _02.00.000, and updated the uri references in all files to match the corrected flow property files.
- Unified the uuids for the flow information of Coke, Activated Carbon, and Activated Coke.
Important Tips:
The data from the Second National Pollution Census provides pollutant emission factors for unit processes. When using this data, users need to refine and supplement the data based on actual raw material consumption and material usage. Additionally, this data can also be used as reference material for product pollutant emissions.

全国第二次污染普查数据提供了单元过程的污染物排放系数信息。在使用这些数据时,用户需根据实际的原料消耗和物料使用情况,对数据进行完善和补充。此外,这些数据也可以作为产品污染物排放的参考资料使用。
