Official version of Blender supported is now Blender 3.6.X LTS. Blender 2.9.3 LTS should still work but is not tested regularly anymore.

Additions:

  • You can now quickly move the focus point of the camera by using the "Click Focus" button in Blender. Once pressed, left click on the model where you want the focus point to be. Press right click or press "ESC" to cancel.
  • You can now edit the camera and focus point manually in Blender using Advanced Camera Editing mode. Once active, you can select the camera and focus point and move it like you would normally in Blender.
  • You can now edit and render box icons! These are used in PC storage and the Purification Chamber in-game. Pokemon Colosseum only uses the first frame while Pokemon XD uses 3 frames to have an animation for the Purification Chamber. An outline is applied to icons.
  • You can now do full copies between mode in Blender. Use this if you want to have similar icons and only tweak a little a specific mode. If a shiny model is used, you cannot copy textures and removed objects to normal icons. (BUG: Textures and removed objects should copy to other shiny icons)

Improvements:

  • Shinnies now use data from models and are way more accurate to the shinnies in-game. It's recommended to use .pkx models to being able to sync the colors.
  • Loading in Blender for Pokemon that were loaded before will now load instantly.
  • Saving using Ctrl+S in Blender will now save to PKX-IconGen after exiting Blender.
  • Texture preview in the Textures panel should now be instant instead of freezing Blender for a second every time.
  • General stability, bug fixing and small performance improvements. (See commit changelog)
  • Updated dependencies, most importantly, Avalonia to version 0.11 and ImageSharp to version 1.0 stable
