Remove all instances of fragment_infos and fragment sets #42207
Conversation
Thanks for the pull request, and welcome! The Rust team is excited to review your changes, and you should hear from @nikomatsakis (or someone else) soon. If any changes to this PR are deemed necessary, please add them as extra commits. This ensures that the reviewer can see what has changed since they last reviewed the code. Due to the way GitHub handles out-of-date commits, this should also make it reasonably obvious what issues have or haven't been addressed. Large or tricky changes may require several passes of review and changes. Please see the contribution instructions for more information. |

Thanks for the PR @Nashenas88! We'll keep an eye on it to make sure @eddyb or another reviewer gets to it soon. |
Looking into the failures now. |
So it seems the failing tests are just verifying the internal workings of the code that was just deleted (unless I misinterpreted them). Are there already tests for what replaced this (making these also candidates for deletion)? Or should these be modified to verify the functionality of the code that replaced fragment infos? |
@Nashenas88 Fragments were a dead-end in dynamic drop that never got used in practice. |
