Annotation instructions

Annotation interface overview

  • Use left-click (and drag) to paint a label. If you start on a gray area, you can only paint unlabeled areas. If you start on a different label, you can override any label.
  • Use shift+left-click (and drag) to erase a label. You can only erase for the currently selected label.
  • Use ctrl+left-click to select an existing label from its colored surface
  • The scan is shown rotating initially so you can get a sense of the 3D nature of the scan. Use the arrow keys, or right-click dragging to pan/rotate around the center point, shift+right-click drag to pan the center point, and mouse wheel to zoom in/out. Double-click on a point to look at that point and set the orbit center at that point
  • Use ctrl/command-z to undo and ctrl/command-y to redo (there is limited undo stack of 5)
  • Press ctrl-shift-r to reset the camera.
  • Press ctrl-shift-o to disable distance constraint when painting.
  • Press S to show largest unlabeled segment.
