Video Downloads
Note: This feature is available only if the package 'polo-donation-plugins' is installed. This package is complimentary for users who have contributed to this project. You can make a donation for $10 or more via PayPal to receive the plugins by email.
Downloading videos from websites is supported via youtube-dl.
Simply copy the web page URL and paste it into any folder. List of available formats will be displayed. Select the desired format from the list and click Download to begin. File will be saved in the same folder.
More than 1000 websites are supported by Youtube-dl.
Pasted URL must be from one of the websites supported by Youtube-dl.
Fetch operation will timeout after 15 seconds if videos are not found on the page. This may happen due to network issues, or if URL is unsupported. You can try pasting again, or try updating to a newer version of youtube-dl.
Available formats are listed as:
<Audio/Video> <FileFormat> <VideoCodec> (Quality) ~ <AudioCodec> (Quality) ~ Size
Formats using the same codec are listed in increasing order of quality.
Move your mouse over an item to see a tooltip with more detailed information.
The progress panel displays a thumbnail of video being downloaded along with the progress info. You can download multiple videos at same time. Just keep pasting URLs in the same folder.
