Sharing your customized TiddlyWiki "edition" as a template

Simon Baird edited this page Dec 5, 2022 · 3 revisions

In the TiddlyWiki community there are people who maintain customized versions of TiddlyWiki for use by others. They may be for a particular purpose, such as a to do list, a recipe book, a resume creator, etc, or they might just for general purpose use with usability related tweaks and enhancements.

If you are someone who does maintain an "edition" of TiddlyWiki that you'd like to share with Tiddlyhost users, you can now make it available for cloning on the new (as of November 2022) "templates page" in the Tiddlyhost Hub.

Here's how to do it:

  • Create the site in Tiddlyhost and set it up with the configuration, customization, and plugins that your edition uses, then save it
  • Go to the site's settings page
  • Change the access to "Hub listed"
  • Write a description to help Tiddlyhost users know what your template does and why they might want to try it
  • Click "Show advanced settings" and check the "Make this site available as a template..." option
  • Click "Update" to save the changes

Once you've done that you should be able to see your site in the templates section of the Tiddlyhost Hub where Tiddlyhost users will be able to clone it by clicking the clone button.
