Running LEGO Rock Raiders

Under construction

Information on getting a standard copy of LRR to run (without OpenLRR). However, these instructions are also required for running OpenLRR.

Files checklist

This section acts as a checklist to ensure you have everything you need. It's highly recommended to follow the Master Guide when setting everything up for the first time, however.

Outline of Steps

  1. Installation Step #0Step #1
    1. CD and CD Drive, or ISO file (see required files)
    2. (Optional) Alternate Installer - Download
    3. (Recommended) Move install folder out of Program Files
    4. (Recommended) Backup install folder
  2. Executable Step #2
    • A) LRR Masterpiece Edition Executable - Download
    • B) SafeDisc DRM Drivers - (not recommended)
    • Skip this step if LegoRR.icd is 0 KB in size
  3. Executable compatibility Step #3
    1. Reduced color mode: 16-bit color
    2. (Optional) Run this program as an administrator
    3. Re-apply whenever the exe (or folder) is moved or renamed.
  4. D3DRM missing dll Step #3
  5. DirectDraw lag fix Step #4
  6. Run without CD
    1. Copy AVI files from <CD>/Data/AVI/ to <install>/Data/AVI/
    2. (Optional) Music without CD Fix - Guide, Download

Preparing the executable

  1. Right click Properties on the game executable (LegoRR.exe, LegoRRCE.exe, OpenLRR.exe, or OpenLRR-d.exe).
  2. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  3. Under Settings, check Reduced color mode.
  4. Select 16-bit color from the dropdown below the checkbox.
