Hi @tsloughter,

It's not actually an issue, just a question.
The current main branch includes a few important fixes related to GRPC timeouts/deadlines:

• Unary request timeout modifications #91
• Set grpc-timeout in milliseconds #89
• don't return negative timeouts from get_timeout_from_ctx() #95
  It looks like it's worth tagging a new release to include those fixes. What do you think about that?

Ah, yup! Thanks for calling that out so I do that and can bump it in the otel exporter before I make releases of otel :)

Hit an issue that interop tests aren't passing. Sadly I haven't set those up in CI yet. Figuring out what went wrong there is taking some time.
