Functional Requirements

  • The system shall allow for a alert to be sent to the user informing him of the detected obstacle
  • The car should be able to brake automatically if an object is detected
  • The car should start moving again if the obstacle is not detected anymore

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The car should be able to correctly identify an obstacle 95 % of the times
  • The car should be able to brake within 10 cm of the detected object

Example

The user is not paying attention to the car driving around therefore the car can crash without user interaction. With obstacle detection the car will stop and prevent damage to the car or the surrounding area.
