Because the Windows PowerShell has execution policy set to restricted by default , It is good to give notice to the user about the possible execution policies that are required to run the script.

⚠️ Validation status: warnings

TerminalDocs/tutorials/powerline-setup.md ⚠️Warning View Details

TerminalDocs/tutorials/powerline-setup.md

  • Line 74, Column 126: [Warning-hard-coded-locale] Link 'https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.core/about/about_execution_policies?view=powershell-7.2' contains locale code 'en-us'. For localizability, remove 'en-us' from links to most Microsoft sites.
  • Line 74, Column 126: [Suggestion-preserve-view-not-set] Did you mean to link to a specific version? It's usually better not to specify a version, so the link always goes to the canonical version. If you really need to link to a specific version, add &preserve-view=true to the URL: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.core/about/about_execution_policies?view=powershell-7.2. Otherwise, remove the view parameter.

Do you think I should add: run Get-ExecutionPolicy to see your current execution policy ?
so he won't have to go and read the link if his exection policy is okay?

Great catch @rouisibra! Thank you! I think your framing of it is excellent - appreciate that you added the command for a quick check before leading them into the policy topic to read up on.
