The Multiplayer Rank counter was introduced in Counters+ 2.3.0. The counter is simply a wrapper for the base game Multiplayer Rank display, and allows you to position the display like you would any other counter.
It is important to note that the Multiplayer Rank Counter cannot be used to disable the Multiplayer Rank itself. If you wish to disable the Multiplayer Rank, see the Hide Multiplayer Rank setting in Main Settings.
