The Speed Counter was introduced in Counters+ 1.1.0. It displays the speed of the tips of your sabers, in Meters Per Second.

Speed VS Spinometer

A common confusion is between the Speed and Spinometer counters, more specifically, what metrics do they measure?

Speed Counter measures the positional velocity of the tips of your Sabers in meters per second. The metrics are measured in one frame, so with a top speed of 57, in one frame the tips of your sabers were traveling at 57 meters per second.

Spinometer measures the rotational velocity of your controllers in degrees per second. The metrics are measured in one second, so with a high value of 2870, in one second your controllers spun 2870 degrees.

Configuration Options

See Counter for the basic configuration options.

Percentage Precision

How precise should the percentage be?

For reference:

  • 2 is precise to the 100ths (90.25%, for example)
  • 4 is precise to the 10000ths (90.2463%, for example)

Mode

Mode is an generic option, found throughout many counters, that changes its display and functional behavior.

Please be aware that some counter settings will not reflect in some Mode options.

The Mode options for Speed Counter are:

Mode Description
Mean Speed Default mode, showing your average speed in a song.
Top (5 Sec.) Updates every 5 seconds with your top speed.
Both Displays both metrics, one on top of the other. This could conflict with other counters.
Split Mean Mean Speed but with metrics split between the two sabers.
Both w/Split Both but with the Mean Speed metric split between the two sabers.
