Introduction

Some objects have sections that are recolorable. This is achieved using a palette swap.

RCT1

Recolorable objects were rendered as usual, a color is chosen as a dedicated color per recolorable area.

For example: The Merry-Go-Round was rendered in yellow and red. When the object .dat file was made all yellow was made to be part of recolorable 1, and all red was made to be part of recolorable 2.

We can find evidence of this when we recolor the Merry-Go-Round:

Note all the yellow-ish and red-ish pixels. These are artifacts happening because it is unlikely for a color to be quantized to a single color group on the palette.
