Refactor time based set_temperature from heat_control #33
Comments
One of the issues that we have to tackle is how are we going to handle someone manually changing the target temperature. Assume the following schedule:
What to do when I set it to 25 celsius at 20:00:
|
It would be nice if setting the target temperature based on the time could be integrated with the scheduler. I will see if I can fix that. Allowing manually changing the target temperature is adding some complexity. Here is my suggestion for your example: |
Heat control has been cleaned up and all scheduling has been removed. Scheduling has to be done using the automation component. |
Nice, I never found time to do this |

I just realized that the time based target temperature logic in the heat_control platform is misplaced. The heat control platform now does two things:
Setting the target temperature based on the time should either be in a separate component or be integrated with the scheduler. This way it would also work for other thermostats.
