during compilation. This includes:

- Support for libbfd, providing the disassembler for JIT-compiled
  programs.
- Support for BPF skeletons, used for profiling programs or iterating on
  the PIDs of processes associated with BPF objects.

In order to make it easy for users to understand what features were
compiled for a given bpftool binary, print the status of the two
features above when showing the version number for bpftool ("bpftool -V"
or "bpftool version"). Document this in the main manual page. Example
invocations:

    $ bpftool version
    ./bpftool v5.9.0-rc1
    features: libbfd, skeletons

    $ bpftool -p version
    {
        "version": "5.9.0-rc1",
        "features": {
            "libbfd": true,
            "skeletons": true
        }
    }

Some other parameters are optional at compilation
("DISASM_FOUR_ARGS_SIGNATURE", LIBCAP support) but they do not impact
significantly bpftool's behaviour from a user's point of view, so their
status is not reported.

Available commands and supported program types depend on the version
number, and are therefore not reported either. Note that they are
already available, albeit without JSON, via bpftool's help messages.

v3:
- Use a simple list instead of boolean values for plain output.

v2:
- Fix JSON (object instead or array for the features).

flags (--help, --version, --json, --pretty, --debug). The description is
duplicated across all the pages, which is more difficult to maintain if
the description of an option changes. It may also be confusing to sort
out what options are not "common" and should not be copied when creating
new manual pages.

Let's move the description for those common options to a separate file,
which is included with a RST directive when generating the man pages.

 create mode 100644 tools/bpf/bpftool/Documentation/common_options.rst
bpf-helpers(7), then all existing bpftool man pages (save the current
one).

This leads to nearly-identical lists being duplicated in all manual
pages. Ideally, when a new page is created, all lists should be updated
accordingly, but this has led to omissions and inconsistencies multiple
times in the past.

Let's take it out of the RST files and generate the "SEE ALSO" sections
automatically in the Makefile when generating the man pages. The lists
are not really useful in the RST anyway because all other pages are
available in the same directory.

v2:
- Use "echo -n" instead of "printf" in Makefile, to avoid any risk of
  passing a format string directly to the command.

…s metrics" test

Linux 5.9 introduced perf test case "Parse and process metrics" and
on s390 this test case always dumps core:

  [root@t35lp67 perf]# ./perf test -vvvv -F 67
  67: Parse and process metrics :

  parsing metric: inst_retired.any / cpu_clk_unhalted.thread
  Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I debugged this core dump and gdb shows this call chain:

This test case was added with
commit 218ca91 ("perf tests: Add parse metric test for frontend metric").

When I compile with make DEBUG=y it works fine and I do not get a core dump.

It turned out that the above listed function call chain worked on a struct
pmu_event array which requires a trailing element with zeroes which was
missing. The marco map_for_each_event() loops over that array tests for members
metric_expr/metric_name/metric_group being non-NULL. Adding this element fixes
the issue.

Output after:

  [root@t35lp46 perf]# ./perf test 67
  67: Parse and process metrics : Ok
  [root@t35lp46 perf]#

Committer notes:

As Ian remarks, this is not s390 specific:

I'm also adding the missing "Fixes" tag and setting just .name to NULL,
as doing it that way is more compact (the compiler will zero out
everything else) and the table iterators look for .name being NULL as
the sentinel marking the end of the table.

The metricgroup__add_metric() can find multiple match for a metric group
and it's possible to fail. Also it can fail in the middle like in
resolve_metric() even for single metric.

In those cases, the intermediate list and ids will be leaked like:

A CAN driver, using the rx-offload infrastructure, is reading CAN frames
(usually in IRQ context) from the hardware and placing it into the rx-offload
queue to be delivered to the networking stack via NAPI.

In case the rx-offload queue is full, trying to add more skbs results in the
skbs being dropped using kfree_skb(). If done from hard-IRQ context this
results in the following warning:

This patch fixes the problem by replacing the kfree_skb() by
dev_kfree_skb_any(), as rx-offload might be called from threaded IRQ handlers
as well.

Ido Schimmel says:

====================
nexthop: Add support for nexthop objects offload

This patch set adds support for nexthop objects offload with a dummy
implementation over netdevsim. mlxsw support will be added later.

The general idea is very similar to route offload in that notifications
are sent whenever nexthop objects are changed. A listener can veto the
change and the error will be communicated to user space with extack.

To keep listeners as simple as possible, they not only receive
notifications for the nexthop object that is changed, but also for all
the other objects affected by this change. For example, when a single
nexthop is replaced, a replace notification is sent for the single
nexthop, but also for all the nexthop groups this nexthop is member in.
This relieves listeners from the need to track such dependencies.

To simplify things further for listeners, the notification info does not
contain the raw nexthop data structures (e.g., 'struct nexthop'), but
less complex data structures into which the raw data structures are
parsed into.

Tested with a new selftest over netdevsim and with fib_nexthops.sh:

Tests passed: 164
Tests failed:   0

Patch set overview:

Patches #1-#4 introduce the aforementioned data structures and convert
existing listeners (i.e., the VXLAN driver) to use them.

Patches #5-#6 add a new RTNH_F_TRAP flag and the ability to set it and
RTNH_F_OFFLOAD on nexthops. This flag is used by netdevsim for testing
purposes and will also be used by mlxsw. These flags are consistent with
the existing RTM_F_OFFLOAD and RTM_F_TRAP flags.

Patches #7-#14 gradually add the new nexthop notifications.

Patches #15-#18 add a dummy implementation for nexthop offload over
netdevsim and a selftest to exercise both good and bad flows.

Changes since RFC [1]:

Patch #1: s/is_encap/has_encap/
Patch #3: Add a blank line in __nh_notifier_single_info_init()
Patch #5: Reword commit message
Patch #6: s/nexthop_hw_flags_set/nexthop_set_hw_flags/
Patch #7: Reword commit message
Patch #11: Allocate extack on the stack

Follow-up patch sets:

selftests: forwarding: Add nexthop objects tests
mlxsw: Preparations for nexthop objects support - part 1/2
mlxsw: Preparations for nexthop objects support - part 2/2
mlxsw: Add support for nexthop objects
mlxsw: Add support for blackhole nexthops
mlxsw: Update adjacency index more efficiently

This fix is for a failure that occurred in the DWARF unwind perf test.

Stack unwinders may probe memory when looking for frames.

Memory sanitizer will poison and track uninitialized memory on the
stack, and on the heap if the value is copied to the heap.

This can lead to false memory sanitizer failures for the use of an
uninitialized value.

Avoid this problem by removing the poison on the copied stack.

The full msan failure with track origins looks like:

Calling btrfs_qgroup_reserve_meta_prealloc from
btrfs_delayed_inode_reserve_metadata can result in flushing delalloc
while holding a transaction and delayed node locks. This is deadlock
prone. In the past multiple commits:

 * ae5e070 ("btrfs: qgroup: don't try to wait flushing if we're
already holding a transaction")

 * 6f23277 ("btrfs: qgroup: don't commit transaction when we already
 hold the handle")

Tried to solve various aspects of this but this was always a
whack-a-mole game. Unfortunately those 2 fixes don't solve a deadlock
scenario involving btrfs_delayed_node::mutex. Namely, one thread
can call btrfs_dirty_inode as a result of reading a file and modifying
its atime:

  PID: 6963 TASK: ffff8c7f3f94c000 CPU: 2 COMMAND: "test"
  #0  __schedule at ffffffffa529e07d
  #1  schedule at ffffffffa529e4ff
  #2  schedule_timeout at ffffffffa52a1bdd
  #3 wait_for_completion at ffffffffa529eeea <-- sleeps with delayed node mutex held
  #4  start_delalloc_inodes at ffffffffc0380db5
  #5  btrfs_start_delalloc_snapshot at ffffffffc0393836
  #6  try_flush_qgroup at ffffffffc03f04b2
  #7 __btrfs_qgroup_reserve_meta at ffffffffc03f5bb6 <-- tries to reserve space and starts delalloc inodes.
  #8  btrfs_delayed_update_inode at ffffffffc03e31aa      <-- acquires delayed node mutex
  #9  btrfs_update_inode at ffffffffc0385ba8
 #10  btrfs_dirty_inode at ffffffffc038627b               <-- TRANSACTIION OPENED

 #16  do_syscall_64 at ffffffffa4a052eb
 #17  entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe at ffffffffa540008c

This will cause an asynchronous work to flush the delalloc inodes to
happen which can try to acquire the same delayed_node mutex:

  PID: 455    TASK: ffff8c8085fa4000  CPU: 5   COMMAND: "kworker/u16:30"
  #0  __schedule at ffffffffa529e07d

  #4 btrfs_delayed_update_inode at ffffffffc03e3143 <-- tries to acquire the mutex
  #5 btrfs_update_inode at ffffffffc0385ba8 <-- this is the same inode that pid 6963 is holding
  #6  cow_file_range_inline.constprop.78 at ffffffffc0386be7

 #18  worker_thread at ffffffffa4aba6fd
 #19  kthread at ffffffffa4ac0a3d
 #20  ret_from_fork at ffffffffa54001ff

To fully address those cases the complete fix is to never issue any
flushing while holding the transaction or the delayed node lock. This
patch achieves it by calling qgroup_reserve_meta directly which will
either succeed without flushing or will fail and return -EDQUOT. In the
latter case that return value is going to be propagated to
btrfs_dirty_inode which will fallback to start a new transaction. That's
fine as the majority of time we expect the inode will have
BTRFS_DELAYED_NODE_INODE_DIRTY flag set which will result in directly
copying the in-memory state.

Fixes: c53e965 ("btrfs: qgroup: try to flush qgroup space when we get -EDQUOT")

This crash happens every time when running sockmap_skb_verdict_shutdown
subtest in sockmap_basic.

This crash is because a NULL pointer is passed to page_address() in
sk_msg_recvmsg(). Due to the difference implementations depending on the
architecture, page_address(NULL) will trigger a panic on Loongarch
platform but not on X86 platform. So this bug was hidden on X86 platform
for a while, but now it is exposed on Loongarch platform.

The root cause is a zero length skb (skb->len == 0) is put on the queue.

This zero length skb is a TCP FIN packet, which is sent by shutdown(),
invoked in test_sockmap_skb_verdict_shutdown():

	shutdown(p1, SHUT_WR);

In this case, in sk_psock_skb_ingress_enqueue(), num_sge is zero, and no
page is put to this sge (see sg_set_page in sg_set_page), but this empty
sge is queued into ingress_msg list.

And in sk_msg_recvmsg(), this empty sge is used, and a NULL page is got by
sg_page(sge). Pass this NULL page to copy_page_to_iter(), which passes it
to kmap_local_page() and to page_address(), then kernel panics.

To solve this, we should skip this zero length skb. So in sk_msg_recvmsg(),
if copy is zero, that means it's a zero length skb, skip invoking
copy_page_to_iter(). We are using the EFAULT return triggered by
copy_page_to_iter to check for is_fin in tcp_bpf.c.

This zero length skb is a TCP FIN packet, which is sent by shutdown(),
invoked in test_sockmap_skb_verdict_shutdown():

	shutdown(p1, SHUT_WR);

This zero length skb is a TCP FIN packet, which is sent by shutdown(),
invoked in test_sockmap_skb_verdict_shutdown():

	shutdown(p1, SHUT_WR);

This zero length skb is a TCP FIN packet, which is sent by shutdown(),
invoked in test_sockmap_skb_verdict_shutdown():

	shutdown(p1, SHUT_WR);

We are using the EFAULT return triggered by
copy_page_to_iter to check for is_fin in tcp_bpf.c.

page is put to this sge (see sg_set_page in sg_set_page), but this empty
sge is queued into ingress_msg list.

We are using the EFAULT return triggered by
copy_page_to_iter to check for is_fin in tcp_bpf.c.

mwifiex_get_priv_by_id() returns the priv pointer corresponding to
the bss_num and bss_type, but without checking if the priv is actually
currently in use.
Unused priv pointers do not have a wiphy attached to them which can
lead to NULL pointer dereferences further down the callstack. Fix
this by returning only used priv pointers which have priv->bss_mode
set to something else than NL80211_IFTYPE_UNSPECIFIED.

Said NULL pointer dereference happened when an Accesspoint was started
with wpa_supplicant -i mlan0 with this config:

network={
        ssid="somessid"
        mode=2
        frequency=2412
        key_mgmt=WPA-PSK WPA-PSK-SHA256
        proto=RSN
        group=CCMP
        pairwise=CCMP
        psk="12345678"

When PG_hwpoison pages are freed they are treated differently in
free_pages_prepare() and instead of being released they are isolated.

Page allocation tag counters are decremented at this point since the page
is considered not in use. Later on when such pages are released by
unpoison_memory(), the allocation tag counters will be decremented again
and the following warning gets reported:

…the Crashkernel Scenario

The issue is that before entering the crash kernel, the DWC USB controller
did not perform operations such as resetting the interrupt mask bits.
After entering the crash kernel,before the USB interrupt handler
registration was completed while loading the DWC USB driver,an GINTSTS_SOF
interrupt was received.This triggered the misroute_irq process within the
GIC handling framework,ultimately leading to the misrouting of the
interrupt,causing it to be handled by the wrong interrupt handler
and resulting in the issue.

Summary:In a scenario where the kernel triggers a panic and enters
the crash kernel,it is necessary to ensure that the interrupt mask
bit is not enabled before the interrupt registration is complete.
If an interrupt reaches the CPU at this moment,it will certainly
not be handled correctly,especially in cases where this interrupt
is reported frequently.

Please refer to the Crashkernel dmesg information as follows
(the message on line 3 was added before devm_request_irq is
called by the dwc2_driver_probe function):

Uprobe needs to fetch args into a percpu buffer, and then copy to ring
buffer to avoid non-atomic context problem.

Sometimes user-space strings, arrays can be very large, but the size of
percpu buffer is only page size. And store_trace_args() won't check
whether these data exceeds a single page or not, caused out-of-bounds
memory access.

It could be reproduced by following steps:
1. build kernel with CONFIG_KASAN enabled
2. save follow program as test.c

```
\#include <stdio.h>
\#include <stdlib.h>
\#include <string.h>
// If string length large than MAX_STRING_SIZE, the fetch_store_strlen()
// will return 0, cause __get_data_size() return shorter size, and
// store_trace_args() will not trigger out-of-bounds access.
// So make string length less than 4096.
\#define STRLEN 4093
void generate_string(char *str, int n)
{
    int i;
    for (i = 0; i < n; ++i)
    {
        char c = i % 26 + 'a';
5. configure uprobe with offset 0x1199
```
off=0x1199

cd /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/
echo "p /root/test:${off} arg1=+0(%di):ustring arg2=\$comm arg3=+0(%di):ustring"
 > uprobe_events
echo 1 > events/uprobes/enable
echo 1 > tracing_on
```
6. run `test`, and kasan will report error.
During the migration of Soundwire runtime stream allocation from
the Qualcomm Soundwire controller to SoC's soundcard drivers the sdm845
soundcard was forgotten.
At this point any playback attempt or audio daemon startup, for instance
on sdm845-db845c (Qualcomm RB3 board), will result in stream pointer
NULL dereference:
    ^^^
This is 0x6108 + offset 0x44 from the beginning of sdw_stream_add_slave()
where data abort happens.
wsa881x_hw_params() is called with stream = NULL and passes it further
in register x4 (5th argument) to sdw_stream_add_slave() without any checks.
Value from x4 is copied to x25 and finally it aborts on trying to load
a value from address in x25 plus offset 32 (in dec) which corresponds
to master_list member in struct sdw_stream_runtime:
struct sdw_stream_runtime {
        const char  *              name;	/*     0     8 */
        struct sdw_stream_params   params;	/*     8    12 */
        enum sdw_stream_state      state;	/*    20     4 */
        enum sdw_stream_type       type;	/*    24     4 */
        /* XXX 4 bytes hole, try to pack */
 here-> struct list_head           master_list;	/*    32    16 */
        int                        m_rt_count;	/*    48     4 */
        /* size: 56, cachelines: 1, members: 6 */
        /* sum members: 48, holes: 1, sum holes: 4 */
        /* padding: 4 */
        /* last cacheline: 56 bytes */
Fix this by adding required calls to qcom_snd_sdw_startup() and
sdw_release_stream() to startup and shutdown routines which restores
the previous correct behaviour when ->set_stream() method is called to
set a valid stream runtime pointer on playback startup.
Reproduced and then fix was tested on db845c RB3 board.
