UI Improvements

According to feedback from the professor and other users, UI of movie pigeon has improved drastically during the development process. Here are some of the main improvements of UI. (Left: before, Right: After)

1. Reduce number of clicks in Cinema Page

By changing the UI from three linked spinners to a simple list, the number of clicks to select a cinema is greatly reduced from 3 to 1. Users now can navigate around cinemas more easily.

2. Changes in search result page

Now showing movies matching the keywords exactly are located at the top of result list. More movie information can be viewed directly from the list.

3. Changes in Me page, and setting page

UI in the Me page is more consistent with a list view with different icons in the front. The bar on the top displays user information so that the user knows which account is logged in. Change password and username are separated into two tabs, minimizing the potential confusion that may caused by the UI.

4. Others

• Loading dialog is added when there is an http request ongoing, so that users know that he/she needs to wait.
• Password input is asterisked.
