Islandora Drupal 6

• Release 6.x - 12.1.x (See also release notes)
• New landing page created to improve versioning and google search hits.
• Beta solution pack for video. Can't detect codecs, so many videos will fail.
• Is there a javascript mediainfo library that can look at the header before they are sent. Paul thinks that this is likely. Need to research.
• Should package a .tar for all filters. Jonathan has done this and will send to David to put up in downloads.
• New Collection Manager Module feature - selective deleting and migration.
• Harvester fixes. Better header label support.
• Jonathan to continue management until probably early June. Need to review over code sprint. Jonathan to have a workplan prepared as soon as possible and pass that to Donald for tasking. Need to make an announcement to the community.

Islandora Drupal 7

• Status of the code. A Fedora API now exists (way to connect to Fedora via PhP). Drupal 7 Islandora code is being ported, and dead code is being pulled. That will call the new Fedora API. Jonathan would like somebody with Drupal theming/display layer. Currently has about a day a week on Drupal 7.
• Ideally, Kris would write template files that are targeted at the ideal Islandora theming layer and then pass these to Jonathan. Jonathan will have to work with Kris on this.
• End of May code sprint? Would take some preparation to break things into manageable pieces. Jonathan will try to break the current tasks - security, entity integration, solr, xml forms
• talking about handling metadata in Drupal 7 - proposal is to store custom Islandora xml form and then crosswalk to other standards. Store key value pairs and then map? Jonathan likes the idea of storing in JSON. Really need a big discussion on this.
• outcome: Late May code sprint ports current code with improvements. UPEI team will contribute.
