Visio vs PowerPoint

Common features:

• Routing algorithms that work well some of the time but behave unpredictably sometimes.
• Support color schemes.
• Export to PDF.

Visio advantages:

• There are predefined stencils for a wide range of purposes.
• Edges can have their own label ("textbox").

PowerPoint advantages:

• The drawings can be reused in PowerPoint presentations (this is not the case for Visio drawings---surprisingly, they cannot be pasted to PowerPoint properly).
• Has eyedropper tool to copy colors (Visio does not have this).
