Found a couple nuances that could be tweaked. Feel free to ignore the suggestions--I just happened to be driving by. 😄

No problem! What's the next step? As I mentioned, I don't know the process here. I guess I'd at least need to update the date to whenever this will be published. |

@rust-lang/leadership-council I forget what the policy is for approving posts on the main Rust blog. Could you take a look and merge this post announcing our updated support policy for Windows targets? |

Following on from the MCP, this announces raising of the baseline for tier 1 Windows support. It also announces the new Windows 7 targets. Sorry for the delay!
Note: I'm submitting this now so I don't forget about it (again). Feel free to ignore until awhile after the currently in-progress release is done (I set the filename date to 10 days in the future but this can be updated whenever).
