Test your seed (Dry run)
This process allows you to enter a seed in the hardware wallet and check if it is equal to the seed that the hardware wallet is currently using. By doing this, the data in the hardware wallet are not modified, so the device continues to work as before, but it is possible to check whether a seed really is a valid backup of the currently connected hardware wallet or not. This is useful as a security test for backups.
To do this, press the “Confirm seed” button on the hardware wallet options window:
//The image should have an arrow poiting to the buttom or something similar//
After doing that, follow the instructions. The process is very similar to the one described in the Restore configuration section of this manual. After finishing, the desktop wallet will tell you if the seed is correct or not.
