My understanding was that we were going to transition to keeping this sort of information in the release notes. For all the NCEPLIBS what we do is create a new set of draft release notes, as soon as we do a release. Then the kind of information being recorded in this issue is instead added to the draft release notes. Then, when the next release happens, the information is already there and ready to release. Here's an example of what this looks like: https://github.com/NOAA-EMC/NCEPLIBS-g2c/releases/tag/v1.7.0. In the release notes this sort of information is very useful and that is where users will go to look for it. |
I note commits of the develop branch in this issue for my reference of tracking UPP updates. Yes, we can also use information here for the UPP release. Thanks for sharing us the release template. |
