Key Principles

Spells and projectile enchantments can be used for combat purposes. We aim to follow the combat philosophy of the Binding of Isaac: lots of variety in the types of enemy units you face makes different battles new and interesting. In line with this, we want to have lots of modifier vocab that updates existing combat spells. For example, "explode" vs. "explode greatly" and "make a fiery storm of sand" vs. "make a storm of sand". This adds a sense of progression as you continue playing the game.
