Red Cabbage with Apples

Perfect for freezing and thawing when needed
Estimated preparation time: 15 minutes
Estimated cooking time: 30 minutes
Estimated resting time: 30 minutes

- Butter
- 1 x Onion
- 1 x Red Cabbage
- A dozen of apples
- Salt
- Pepper
- Ground clove
- Cinnamon
- Cut the onion into cubes and the red cabbage into strips
- Cut the apples into quarters
- In a pressure cooker, over medium heat, melt the butter and brown the onions.
- Add the apples and red cabbage
- Add salt, pepper, cloves and cinnamon to your liking
- Stir
- Add water to the pressure cooker until it is halfway up
- Heat for half an hour
- Let rest
- Mix with a hand mixer until it has the consistence of an apple sauce
This 🇧🇪 recipe is perfect for eating with sausages. It can be frozen and thawed when there is a need for more vegetables in a meal.
