Build-and-deploy bot

  • Lara and Pedro have been setting up the bot for builds on local systems
    • Pedro: bot does respond and build things, not deploying yet. Instructions are clear
    • Thomas: Issue with running with PyGithub was that newer versions require Python 3.7+ while some OSes still have 3.6 as the default. This is resolved, and the related PR is ready to merge.

EESSI pilot repository

  • would be good to improve the lmod cache update procedure, e.g., do a second transaction on the S0 during the ingestion ...
    • need to be aware of potential slow down of the ingestion
    • would avoid cases when two PRs were built at the same time, then ingested one after the other and the second would overwrite the changes made by the first (so, packages added by this would not be in the cache)

  • Terraform Cloud may be a good option as an alternative to Atlantis now that we have experience there due to Magic Castle

  • CitC cluster will disappear soon, get your data out!
  • AWS asked for some docs on how to EESSI on AWS resources, request came for a customer.
    • Interesting that they are getting these kinds of requests

MultiXscale EU project

  • Martin: can I start advertising these tutorials?
    • Yes, though there is no registration form for the CVMFS tutorial yet.

    • We'll have the content anyway, the deadline for tutorials is 8th of December (same week as the tutorials!)
