Some workarounds exist for the bug with in-place updates on CVMFS, e.g. using symlinks or marking files for direct I/O, but it looks like a proper fix is actively being worked on.

- Most of the security issues don't really seem to apply to EESSI, as everything is running in userspace. But still it would be good to keep up-to-date, and have the right procedures in place for quickly updating packages.
- (Bart Oldeman) CUDA compat lib is installed in private ComputeCanada repository, and is used automatically when needed
- quite similar to our approach where script downloads & installs compat lib when needed
