Notes
Pull Requests The pull request for the “Fetch URL” was approved and added to the CMI-5 runtime specification repository
Verb Changes
The group agreed to rename the following verbs:
- “Started” will be renamed to “Initialized”
- “Exited” will be renamed to “Terminated”
These changes were needed to better harmonize with ADL verbs that have same exact purpose
LRS query optimization
Chris Handorf raised a concern in previous meetings about difficultly of querying the LRS to retrieve specific XAPI “result” values (without having to do multiple queries or sort thru a large number of statements) The group continued to discuss how to do a targeted/filtered query of the LRS to meet this need and whether changes were needed to CMI-5 in order to accommodate this.
Possible changes discussed:
- Add additional identifiers in CMI-5 contexts for "easy search".
- Using existing capabilities for the LRS query and sorting thru multiple statements
- Using CMI-5 Activity Type definitions to limit the queries to CMI-5 specific statements
- Using CMI-5 Verb identifiers to limit the queries to CMI-5 specific statements
There was no clear resolution to the issue and we will continue to discuss it next week.
Next Time
Next meeting we will:
- Continue to discuss LRS query optimization possibilities.
