Archiving List Items

You can find an explanation about archiving list items here.

Dragging & Dropping Items Between Actors

You can find an explanation of how to drag & drop items between actors here.

Copy & Pasting from a PDF

When copy & pasting text from the PDF, Foundry pastes the styling and line breaks as well. Most of the time, this is undesired. In my games, I paste text from the PDFs in the editors HTML mode for that reason. When you are editing an item, press the <> button to open up the HTML mode. That is purely text-based, so all stylings and line breaks are ignored. Only thing to do after closing the HTML mode then is to manually add the paragraphs, if there are any.

Macros and Roll Buttons on Character Sheets (in the Description of Items)

You can create your own macros and roll buttons on the character sheet by creating clickable HTML links that appear in the description of items. In order to do that, simply drag & drop the macro onto the editor of the description.

Sending the Description of Skills, Abilities, and Equipment to the Chat

When you alt-click the name of an item, the description will be sent to the chat instead of showing the description on the character sheet.

Sorting & Categorizing Skills, Abilities, and Equipment

Skills, abilities, and equipment can be sorted into four categories, the names of which you can determine in the settings tab of the PC actor. See Item Categories for details.

Templates for Actors & Items

If you want to pre-configure the settings for PC or other actors, create a template actor which you then duplicate instead of creating new actors. This way, the settings, all values, and notes and descriptions are duplicated as well. I recommend not changing the actor image, though, because then you’d need to do it twice (once on the character sheet, once for the prototype token) when you change it again on the duplicated actor.
