Disclaimer For Server Owners

Colin Basnett edited this page Feb 22, 2024 · 2 revisions

Given our small community, players often don't have a choice when it comes to picking a server they can play on. To ensure that everyone has a good experience, we have to establish a number of requirements for public servers.

If you're planning to spin up a DH server or already own one, please read below.

What servers these requirements apply to?

Any public (i.e. not password protected) servers that:

  • have a player capacity over 16 slots;
  • are located in US (East Coast), Europe, or neighboring regions (some requirements apply to all regions);
  • provide no significant difference in terms of content and gameplay compared to official servers.

This can be a subject to change and exceptions can be applied. Please contact us to clarify if your server is affected.

What are the requirements?

  • Your server must be capable of comfortably supporting 64 players without any perpetual performance issues.
  • Your server/community/admin staff must not violate our Community Guidelines (applies to servers in all regions).
  • Your admin staff must cooperate with our team in matters of server moderation (especially when it comes to permanent bans).
  • Your server must not host low quality custom content (e.g., broken maps, vehicles etc.) outside of special events.

My server does not fit the requirements. What should i do?

We kindly ask you to keep it password protected until it does fit the requirements; otherwise, we will be forced to blacklist it.
