- Release alpha at October 10 community call (OCFL Editors and PASIG Discuss)
- Review feedback in the November 14 community call
- Determine beta release date based on the type and amount of feedback
- Experimental validation tool
- Determine other groups /communities from which to seek input
In addition to resolving issues / comments raised through community review, we are prescribing the following requirements be met before releasing 1.0:
- Version 1.0 validator
- Test suite
- Fixture objects
- Two institutions committed to backing the initiative
Version 1.0 of the OCFL was release on 07 July 2020
The focus of this revision is correction and clarification based on implementation experience and community feedback. Version 1.1 is backwards compatible with version 1.0.
Version 1.1 of the OCFL was release on 07 October 2022
The OCFL Editors are now beginning to consider additional use cases and revisions that will lead to version 2.0 of the specification. More information can be found in the News section of our website.
