   1. issue #557 we came to an agreement that we would go with @zimeon's suggestion in the ticket. @awoods will create the PR.
   2. issue #558editors agree we will allow an empty object but will not require it. and will not allow null. comment added to the ticket. @zimeon will create the PR.
   3. issue #571 E066 is meant to capture inconsistencies between two inventory files. we discussed changing the term object state to version state and then define version state in the spec's terminology section. some think we need to leave it at object state and perhaps define that in the spec instead. regardless we need to have a number of examples to flesh this out more fully. action to @zimeon is to enumerate the different version of E066 that he has in his validator so that we can discuss this issue again at our next meeting. we also acknowledge that we may need to identify new error codes to correct issues related to changing the digest algorithm.
